About
Minutes away from Boulder, nestled in the quiet beauty of Eldorado Canyon, the Shambhava School of Yoga offers inspired classes and programs in hatha yoga, meditation, kirtan (sacred chanting), yoga philosophy, ayurveda, vedic astrology, and more. Founded over twenty-five years ago by Sri Shambhavananda, a kundalini master in the lineage of Bhagawan Nityananda of Ganeshpuri India, Shambhava Yoga offers seekers a means of attaining profound spiritual growth as well as the skillful means necessary for navigating through modern-day life with clarity and compassion.
Set against a backdrop of majestic canyon walls with a view of the plains to the east, Eldorado Mountain Yoga Ashram has been home to the Shambhava School of yoga for twenty years. In this spectacular natural setting Boulderites, Denverites, and visitors from afar find sanctuary and fellowship in the beautiful meditation dome, adorned with sacred art and permeated by ’shakti’ or spiritual energy.
A Community Night each Monday starting at 6:30 pm.
The kirtan (chanting), chanting of the Divine Name, sitting in silent meditation, and satsang (questions and answers) become sublime experiences here.

Rishi Maha Mandaleshwar Sri Shambhavananda (Babaji), brings a joyful and practical approach to the rich tapestry of yogic teachings. He founded the Shambhava School of Yoga almost 30 years ago in Boulder, Colorado. |
Yoga Programs
Among the yoga programs are six-week and drop-in hatha yoga classes and various meditation classes, as well as a 200 hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training certification program. Teacher Training programs ( Levels 1 – 3) are offered several times throughout the year and are registered with Yoga Alliance.
Yoga and meditation instructors are devotees of Shambhavananda, seasoned practitioners of Shambhava Yoga who teach as service to the ashram and to those who come. Whether giving instruction in a meditation technique or a challenging asana, teachers seek to guide students towards an awareness of breath, and through the breath, towards an awareness of one’s spiritual nature. As the fruits of Shambhava Yoga unfold, navigating through life becomes a dance with the Divine Play of Consciousness, and the practiced yogi or yogini is able to fulfill all of life’s responsibilities while at the same time experiencing profound enjoyment and bliss.
