Acharya Kailasi Fontaine has studied under Shri Shambhavananda since 1974, and has been teaching with the ashram since 1976. She developed the curriculum for and taught our first teacher trainings. These teacher trainings were among the first in the Boulder area – well before teacher training programs became commonplace. Kailasi authored the original Hatha Yoga Manual for the ashram in 1991. She also played a major role in the development of the online training materials. In addition Kailasi helped plan and teaches the Yoga Lifestyle workshops. Her style beautifully integrates the yogic process of inner release and opening with a sound understanding of spinal alignment and body mechanics.

Acharya Mukti Miller received both her 200 hr and 500 hr yoga certifications through the Shambhava School of Yoga. She has been a student of Shri Shambhavananda’s for over 11 years and has been leading or assisting with teacher trainings since 2003. Her hatha yoga classes are taught with a meditative flow of vinyasas (postures). She emphasizes proper alignment of the body and guides students in the use of the breath as a tool to release tension and aid in the increase of strength and flexibility. She is happy to have discovered how rejuvenating, energizing and centering a strong practice of yoga can be, and she loves to share what she has discovered with others.
