Acharya Kailasi Fontaine has studied under Shri Shambhavananda since 1974, and has taught at the Eldorado Mountain Yoga Ashram since 1976. She developed the curriculum for and taught the ashram’s first teacher trainings. These teacher trainings were among the first in the Boulder area – well before teacher training programs became commonplace. Kailasi authored the original Hatha Yoga Manual for the ashram in 1991. She also played a major role in developing the online training materials in 2008. In addition, Kailasi helped plan and teaches the Yoga Lifestyle Workshops. Her style beautifully integrates the yogic process of inner release and opening with a sound understanding of spinal alignment and body mechanics.
